FREYA WINS SILVER IN SLOVENIA
Sandiacre Tennis player Freya Barry who was selected to represent GB in Slovenia as part of The National GB Deaf Tennis Team has won a silver medal for GB. Freya aged 11, who attends St John Houghton Catholic School in Ilkeston, won her medal in the girls doubles with team mate Phoebe Suthers. As the youngest member of the team and the youngest competing from around the world this was great achievement and she is now working towards the Deaflympics 2017 in Turkey.

STAGE ONE AND WEBSITE EXTRA POOL LEAGUE
It was the first round of the cup matchers this week with two of the of the favourites being knocked out. M Shanahan and C Harrison. M Shanahan has been knocked out in the first round every year since the pool league had started, Keep the good work up Mr Shanahan.
 
The only Lady in the pool league Z Copeland progressed to the next round with a convincing win over C Gapper. In the mixed Doubles D Price and C Gapper almost had the first Seven baller but missed the black hard lines lads good win C Chaplin and J Smith are still unbeaten in the mixed double's.
